What is NLP Coaching?
NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) is an extremely effective way of creating rapid and lasting change in your life. NLP uses engaging techniques to influence our brain on both a conscious and unconscious level. This helps to shift old habitual patterns that are no longer helpful for us, and create the change we want in our lives.
During the coaching sessions I will gain an understanding of your issue, help you better understand the patterns you are running, and most importantly establish how you want to feel instead, and how we are going to get you there. We will focus predominantly on the present and the future, and the way you want to be going forward, rather than delving into the past.
What is hypnotherapy and do you use this?
As part of the coaching sessions, if I think it would be useful, I incorporate hypnotherapy to help facilitate the change you want. This is essentially helping you into a relaxed state to allow your unconscious mind to process the changes you want to make. We are often unable to think our way logically out of a problem because our unconscious mind controls the vast majority of our thoughts, actions and behaviours. Therefore working with the unconscious mind in this way can be extremely effective for creating lasting change.
Rest assured, hypnotherapy is not 'stage hypnosis'! You will be in complete control of your body at all times, be aware of everything going on, and be able to speak and have a conversation.
Can this type of coaching help my physical symptoms?
Absolutely! The brain and body are intrinsically connected, and therefore by changing our neurology (how our brain works), we can also influence our physiology (how our body functions). There is a wealth of scientific research around the mind-body connection and how this can positively influence our health. If you would like to know more about this then let me know.
How many sessions will I need?
NLP coaching can produce very rapid change for people, and it isn't a long drawn out process which requires years of therapy. Clients can often experience great change in just 1 or 2 sessions, however a series of 3 or more sessions is usually most beneficial to support the changes people want.
